🟥 Consultant in Anaesthesia (Paediatric Interest) - United Kingdom

The Trust is a leading provider of hyper-acute and elective care, with services including vascular, trauma, obstetrics, and spinal surgery.
Hours: Full time - 10 sessions per week
Salary: £109,725 - £145,478 PA PR
➡️ Role Summary
The Hospital is seeking a Consultant Anaesthetist with a specialist interest in paediatric anaesthesia to join their supportive, ACSA-accredited department.
This is a full-time post (10 PAs), including general anaesthesia with dedicated paediatric lists, on-call duties (1 PA), and 1.5 PAs for supporting professional activities (SPA), including teaching and audit.
✅ Key Responsibilities
You will contribute to the delivery and development of paediatric anaesthesia, participate in the general on-call rota, and support education and governance activities across the department.
The Hospital offers a dynamic environment with 18 theatres, a 12-bed ICU, and robust perioperative and pain services.
➡️ Requirements:
Applicants must be on the GMC Specialist Register (or within 6 months of CCT), hold FRCA or equivalent, and have training in paediatric anaesthesia.
Teaching experience and a commitment to CPD are essential. Desirable qualifications include regional anaesthesia expertise and postgraduate education credentials.
